About

Audrey Jackson is an award-winning multimedia journalist based in Louisville, Kentucky. A native Arkansan, Jackson studied print journalism and design at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

An avid traveler, Jackson has visited 35 countries and reported from 18 countries across five continents since graduating in 2021. Her international reportage includes coverage of health care, refugee aid, education systems and natural disasters. While she does not speak a second language, Jackson is confidently versed in charades, which she has found transcends most language barriers.

Closer to home, she has reported on a wide variety of topics in 13 states, including mass shootings in Texas and Illinois; interfaith relations and religious diversity in Oklahoma City, Chicago and New York; immigration in Florida and climate change in Louisiana.

Jackson formerly reported on religion for
The Christian Chronicle, during which she was promoted to managing editor and described by Editor-in-Chief Bobby Ross Jr. as an “editor’s dream journalist and photojournalist — always ready to hit the road and go to the story.”

In 2025, the Arkansas chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists named Jackson Emerging Journalist of the Year for her national and international portfolio. She was also awarded 2025 Emerging Photojournalist of the Year by the Evangelical Press Association.
